About the artist: Honorary Doctor of the International Academy of Sciences and Arts (posthumously, 2010). Founder of the International Union of Independent Artists. Anton Kashshaya. Laureate of the Peace Foundation of the former USSR, honorary member of the International Association of Fine Arts of UNESCO.
He was born in Uzhhorod. Before becoming an artist, he played sports and became an honored judge of the international category in motorsports. He first began exhibiting his works of art in 1975, and in general devoted more than 30 years of his life to art. From 1978 he worked in the art workshops of the regional "Art Fund". He gained professional training as an artist thanks to friendly relations with the outstanding Transcarpathian artist Anton Kashshay.
From the end of the 1980s he worked as a diplomat in Hungary, where he did a lot to promote Ukrainian culture, organize exhibitions and tour professional art groups. During his stay in Hungary he also held a number of personal exhibitions of paintings. At the initiative of the artist in the early 1990s, the International Union of Independent Artists was established. Anton Kashshai, which brought together artists from four countries - Ukraine, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary.
Educated in the best traditions of the Transcarpathian art school, the master of the brush enriched the palette of national art with hundreds of paintings. The artist left a significant legacy - hundreds of paintings with beautiful landscapes. The artist's works are stored in museum and private collections in Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Great Britain, R., Canada and the USA.
