A lone fisherman, dressed in a bright yellow garment, leans into his oar, steering with instinct and strength. He is not defeated by the swell; rather, he becomes part of its rhythm, his figure silhouetted against the churning sea. The contrast between the stability of the anchored boat and the precarious elevation of the second emphasizes the dualities of seafaring life—safety and risk, steadiness and unpredictability. Above, the sky is a vast expanse of gray, heavy with the weight of gathering clouds. The brushwork here is looser, almost turbulent, mirroring the unsettled sea below. Yet, within this gray expanse, flecks of lighter hues break through, suggesting fleeting hope and the possibility of calmer weather. Seagulls soar across the scene, their white wings catching the light as they circle the boats. Their presence adds both movement and a sense of timelessness, as though they are eternal witnesses to the cycles of man and sea.

Major works: "Near the house" (2005), "Winter on the outskirts of Zhitomir" (2006), "Autumn still life" (2004). Lived and worked in the city of Zhitomir.
