🎨 About the Artist
Viktor Andriyovych Korolchuk (1933–2015) was a distinguished Ukrainian painter, Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1979), and People’s Artist of Ukraine (2004). Born in Brest (then part of B.), he studied at the Grekov Art School in Rostov. After moving to Ukraine, Korolchuk dedicated his entire artistic career to Kyiv, becoming a notable figure in Ukrainian painting during the second half of the 20th century.

🖌 Style and Technique
Korolchuk primarily worked in landscape, still life, and thematic composition. His paintings are recognized for their soft palette, rich use of light and shadow, and deep lyricism. Many of his works convey a sense of peace, contemplation, and emotional resonance.
He paid particular attention to the Ukrainian landscape—rivers, fields, villages, and countryside. His landscapes are not just depictions of scenery, but reflections of mood and atmosphere expressed through color and brushwork.

🏛 Exhibitions and Recognition
Since the 1960s, Korolchuk actively participated in national, union-wide, and international exhibitions. His solo shows took place in Kyiv, Dnipro, and other Ukrainian cities.
In 1966, he became a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, and in 2004, he was awarded the title of People’s Artist of Ukraine. Today, his works are held in museums as well as public and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.

👨👩👦 Family and Legacy
Korolchuk’s wife, Yevdokia Korolchuk, was also a painter, and their son, Serhiy Korolchuk, continued the family’s artistic tradition, becoming an accomplished painter himself.
Together, they built a creative dynasty, with Viktor Korolchuk leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire collectors and art lovers today.
