Viktor Mikhailovich Antonchik (b. 1955) is a Ukrainian painter whose works have been presented at leading international auctions and are admired by collectors for their lyrical sensitivity, vibrant palette, and refined craftsmanship. A representative of the late-20th-century Kyiv school, he creates genre scenes, still lifes, and landscapes that radiate warmth, atmosphere, and an authentic sense of everyday beauty.

Antonchik’s paintings are distinguished by harmonious color, confident brushwork, and a poetic mood. Balancing classical training with a personal, contemporary vision, he builds compositions with clarity and rhythm, inviting viewers into intimate spaces filled with light, texture, and quiet emotional resonance. His works are prized additions to museum and private collections alike.

Born on February 22, 1955 in Kyiv, Antonchik is the son of the prominent artist Mykhailo Antonchik (1921–1998). He graduated from the Kyiv State Art Institute in 1979, studying in the studios of Viktor Shatalin and Valerii Gurin. Since 1979 he has worked professionally as a painter (including stage-design work). In 1992 he became a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. In 1998 he received a bronze medal at the European Artists’ Competition at the Paris Academy of Arts. Over the decades he has participated in all-Union and Ukrainian exhibitions, steadily shaping a distinctive personal style.

Antonchik’s works are held in regional Ukrainian collections and in private collections across Europe and beyond. Regularly presented at international auction houses, his paintings remain in demand for their artistic quality, cultural resonance, and timeless lyrical appeal.
