About the artist: Mandrikova - Donchik Nadezhda Alekseevna was born on May 26, 1923 in the village of Sebino, Nikolaev region. Since childhood, she was hardworking, responsible, benevolent, fond of ballet and drawing, dreamed of becoming an actress. After graduating from the seven-year school, she studied at an evening school, worked in court, at a factory, and on weekends - as an extra in the Theater of the Young Spectator.
In 1951 she graduated from the Odessa Art School. M. Grekova, faculty of painting. She worked in Lvov, and in 1953 she returned to Nikolaev. Since 1958 she began her creative activity. From 1956 to 1986 she worked as an artist-painter in the Nikolaev Society of Artists, then in the Art Fund. She worked in the genre of landscape, still life, portrait.
In the 50s, she simply wrote life as she saw: her relatives, post-war melancholy ("Memories", "Grieving Mother", "Long Live the Children", "Blue Dawn"). Her main theme is family: daughter Larissa, friends ("My daughter", "New Year", "Mother's portrait", "Father's portrait", "Nastenka"). The ordinary in the artist's painting is inseparable from the majestic: ("Lit candle", "Lord have mercy", "Easter"). And I also want to visit among her flowers - peonies, lilacs, chamomile, sunflower. Immerse yourself in her blooming "Apple Orchards", "The Cherry Orchard near the Hut", be sad with the painting "Birch in early spring", find that unique "Way Home".
The world of NA Mandrikova - Donchik is kind and humane, and the main thing for her in this world is respect for a person, a desire to see how one person differs from another, and to portray her as unique. Her works are light, joyful, radiant.
On account of her - more than ten personal exhibitions, his paintings are in museums in Ukraine, R., France, Germany. Many works are in private collections in our country and abroad. Nadezhda Alekseevna took part in regional, republican exhibitions.
