About the artist: Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Boris Grigorievich Nesterenko (Ukrainian - Boris Grigorovich Nesterenko) was born on August 7, 1914 in the city of Pinsk (R. Empire) - from 1921 to 1939 Pinsk was part of the Polish Republic, his father was the head of the Gomel steam-repair workshops. In 1934 he entered the Vitebsk Art College - until 1923 and after 1934 to 1939. The Vitebsk Art College whose walls still remembered the names of Marc Chagall and his teacher Mstislav Dobuzhinsky, Kazimir Malevich, Ivan Puni, Robert Falk and many other outstanding artists . After graduating from an art college in 1939, Boris entered the All-R. Academy of Arts, but he did not have a chance to study, because in the same year he was drafted into the army, served as a tank commander, then was thrown by parachute landing on the territory of the BSSR, where he organized partisan detachment, carried out sabotage on the communications of the Nazi invaders. After the war, he worked as the head of the regional arts department in Baranovichi and was an artist at the Union of Artists of the BSSR. In 1950, he moved to Kiev, from now on his life and work are connected with Ukraine. He participated in the design of the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition (VDNH). He worked at the Kiev Association of Artists and the Kiev Regional Branch of the Art Fund of Ukraine. The artist - a participant in the Second World War - was awarded many orders and medals. Boris Grigorievich Nesterenko - artist, his rating according to the Unified Art Register - 3B - is a professional artist, recognized and demanded by the art market and the public. He combined the traditions of Soviet, Ukrainian and B. painting schools, the features of academic social realism and the so-called "Soviet impressionism" in his work. He worked in different genres of easel painting - first of all, landscape, including sea and city landscape - his paintings depict: Kiev, already lost in many respects, Vydubychi, Kiev Pechersk Lavra, as well as the cult Sednev, in the picturesque surroundings of which housed the House of Artists of Ukraine. No wonder many of Sednev’s landscape objects in his paintings coincide with the nature of the famous Ukrainian artist Tatyana Nilovna Yablonskaya. In addition, the artist worked in the portrait genre, historical genre, the author of Leniniades, genre painting, still lifes in the style of socialist realism and Soviet impressionism in techniques - oil, tempera, pencil. Chronology of works: 50s-80s of the 20th century. Boris Grigorievich Nesterenko is a participant in many exhibitions of republican and all-union significance. His works are in the collections of the Donetsk Art Museum (“Partizanka” 1971, “Evening on the Desna” 1972), the Khmelnitsky Museum of Local Lore (“At Suvor Roki Viniy” 1974) of the Kramatorsk Art Museum (“Still Life” 1979), etc. In private collections, galleries, collections of various institutions - universities, banks, libraries - are his work "Metro station" Dnepr "1964," Foreman "1972," In the artist’s workshop "1975," Inspiration "(" Tchaikovsky at work ") 1976," On the old roads "1977," Fields to the left, fields to the right "1985," Charіvnitsya "1986," Dnieper Dali "1987," Turn on the Dnіprі 1987, "Our match" 1988 and many others. By the centenary of the artist’s birthday, an exhibition of his works was held at the Ivan Kavaleridze Museum. The artist’s works are widely represented in many public and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
