About the artist: Born September 23, 1923 in the Oryol region of R. in the village of Rechitsa. Childhood passed in Balaclava, later in M..

Member of the Great Patriotic War, commander of a machine gun company. Miraculously survived after shell shock and severe frostbite. For his military merits, he was awarded the medals "For the Defense of M." (1946), "For the Victory over Germany" (1945), "For the Victory in the Great Patriotic War" (1946) and the Orders "For Courage, Resilience and Courage", "World War II II degree "(1985).

In 1946 he entered the M. Art College, studied with K.G. Dorokhov, then at the Riga School of Applied Arts.

In 1947-1953 he studied at the Academy of Arts of the Latvian SSR in Riga with K. Ubana, L. Svemp, the head of the diploma is W. Skulme.

Since 1956 he lives and works in the hero city of S..

Since 1956 - works in the S. art and production workshops. Participant of exhibitions.

In 1960 he was admitted to the Union of Artists of the USSR, since 1993 - a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.

Since 2004 - Honored Artist of the Autonomous Republic, Honored Artist of Ukraine.

Works are in museums and private collections in Ukraine, R. and European countries.
