Fotiі Stepanovych Krasystky (1873–1944) was a leading Ukrainian painter associated with realist and impressionist traditions—a student of Ilia Repin and a successor to the humanist legacy of Taras Shevchenko. Deeply rooted in village life, nature, and Ukrainian culture, he was among the first artists to consistently bring national themes into professional academic art while honoring folk traditions.
