Born in 1946 in Yahotyn (Kyiv region), Anatolii Kryvolap is a landmark figure of contemporary Ukrainian art. A laureate of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine and among the country’s highest-valued artists on the global market, he forged a new visual language grounded in the emotional power of color and the intuition of perception. Over recent decades, Kryvolap has shaped a singular aesthetic where national identity, landscape as inner state, and color as a vibration of meaning stand at the center.
