These large, rounded haystacks dominate the foreground, their warm, golden tones contrasting with the cool blues and greens of the surrounding grass. The artist places the viewer at ground level, seemingly walking through the field, allowing the haystacks to become the central focus of the scene. The background features distant trees, painted in deep blues and purples, creating a sense of depth and space. The evening sky, though not fully visible, is hinted at through the soft, cool tones that infuse the entire composition. The painting’s perspective suggests an open and expansive field, inviting the viewer to imagine walking through it as the sun sets and the landscape is bathed in the soft glow of twilight. The sky, though partially obscured by the distant trees, is rendered in soft shades of purple, pink, and blue. These colors create the sense of a sunset or twilight, with the fading light gradually giving way to the cool, tranquil atmosphere of evening. The interplay between the warm and cool tones gives the painting a dynamic yet peaceful quality, reinforcing the quiet solitude of the rural landscape as the day transitions into night. The surrounding grass is painted with sweeping, fluid strokes that mimic the movement of the wind, giving the scene a sense of life and motion. The trees in the distance are rendered with more subtle, blended strokes, creating a sense of depth and a softened silhouette against the evening sky. The brushstrokes used to paint the sky are smoother and more fluid, enhancing the sense of calm and the gentle transition of the day into night. The haystacks, symbols of the harvest and hard work, stand as silent witnesses to the end of a day’s labor, bathed in the last light of the evening. The natural landscape, with its dynamic use of color and texture, conveys a sense of harmony between the land and those who work it. The viewer is invited to step into the painting, to walk through the field and experience the peaceful beauty of the moment.

*** ABOUT THIS PAINTING ***
* TITLE: "Walking through the evening field"
* ARTISTS: Oksana Ivanyuk
* SIZE: 15x20 cm/'5.90x7.87 inches'
* MEDIUM: oil, cardboard
* HAND PAINTED: Original painting from our collection
* CONDITION: we tried to convey the maximum information with the help of photos about this product

About the artists: Ivanyuk Oksana was born in 1964 in Rivne region.
