The artist presents a cluster of ripe strawberries piled within a clear, elegant glass, with a few fruit casually resting outside the container on a wooden surface. The composition is at once intimate and vibrant, transforming a simple arrangement into a rich, visual feast. The strawberries, the main focus of the composition, are painted in a luscious array of reds—ranging from deep crimson to fiery orange and pink hues—accentuated with specks of white that capture the sheen of their juicy skin. These rich tones stand in striking contrast to the darker background, which isolates the fruit and amplifies their presence, drawing the viewer’s eye immediately to their radiant color and inviting texture. The dark, nearly black backdrop is not just a neutral space, but a dynamic surface textured with subtle variations and shadowy undertones, adding depth and mood to the overall atmosphere. The glass vessel itself is a marvel of brushwork, rendered with sweeping, expressive strokes that mimic the refraction and reflection of light through curved glass. Streaks of white, lavender, and cool blue give the impression of light bouncing off the surface, while slight distortions in the glass suggest the weight and rounded forms of the berries within. The use of thick, confident impasto lends a tangible, three-dimensional quality to the glass and fruit alike, making them seem almost sculptural. The physicality of the paint invites the viewer not only to look but to feel the surface with their eyes. Lush green leaves—some clinging to the tops of the berries, others draped over the rim or lying nearby—add an earthy balance to the composition. These verdant touches break up the red palette and contribute movement and variety to the scene. They seem to dance gently around the strawberries, guiding the viewer’s gaze from one point to another, while hinting at the natural environment from which the fruit was harvested.

*** ABOUT THIS PAINTING ***
* TITLE: "Still life with strawberries"
* ARTISTS: Vyacheslav Pereta
* SIZE: 15х20 cm/'5.90x7.87 inches'
* MEDIUM: oil, hardboard
* HAND PAINTED: Original painting from our collection
* CONDITION: we tried to convey the maximum information with the help of photos about this product

About the artist: I, Vyacheslav Pereta Nikolaevich, was born on March 30, 1977 in the city of Dubno, Rivne region.
From early childhood I spent many hours drawing, which prompted my parents to enroll me in an art school.
Over the years, my passion grew into an internal need, and I began to think about the career of an artist.
