In 1870, he received from the Academy the title of a non-class artist for the “View in the vicinity of Petersburg” presented at her exhibition this year. In 1878 he joined the partnership of traveling art exhibitions [3] and since then has appeared on them annually with his paintings, using them as one of the best painters of R., mainly northern nature. Of his works, the creations are especially noteworthy: “In the Forest in the Spring” (1878); The Misty Swamp (1879); \"Forest road in the fall\" (1880); “Forest in the Swamp” (1881); “At Dawn” (1882); \"Quiet day\" (1882); “Early snow” (1883); \"Forest Stream\" (1885) and some others [7] [8].\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIn 1902, the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts hosted an exhibition of paintings by the Wanderers Efim Volkov and Vladimir Makovsky [9]. The exposition featured 417 paintings by the artist.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eHe died in Petrograd in 1920.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eVolkov’s works are in the Tretyakov Gallery (“Swamp in Autumn”, “Early Snow”, “Autumn”), Odessa Art Museum (“Boats”) and in the R.
