The figures on the hay cart, clad in simple, weathered clothing, embody resilience and a connection to the land that has been passed down through generations. The horse, strong and dutiful, symbolizes the bond between humans and animals, a partnership essential to rural life. The artist’s use of bold, contrasting colors highlights the lush greenery of the hills and the striking blue tones of the distant mountains, creating a sense of depth and immersion in the landscape. The dynamic brushstrokes capture movement — the swaying hay, the horse’s steady steps, and the figures balanced atop the load, suggesting a journey that is as much about the destination as the process itself. Through this work, Yaroshevich conveys a respect for tradition, hard work, and the beauty of a life intertwined with nature. The painting resonates with themes of endurance, simplicity, and a peaceful coexistence with the natural world, reminding us of the rhythms of rural life and the unchanging spirit of those who live close to the land. It’s a tribute to the quiet heroism of mountain dwellers, whose lives may seem humble but are filled with a profound sense of purpose and belonging.

ARTIST:
Anastasia Oleksandrivna Yaroshevich, was born near the city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region (Ukraine). He turns to portraits, landscapes, still lifes, plot and thematic paintings, animalistics, paints with oil, watercolor, gouache. A distinctive feature of her work is emotional saturation, which is manifested in color and tonal contrasts, sonorous color, often built on a combination of pure colors. In the paintings of Anastasia Yaroshevich, simultaneous realism and decorativeness of form coexist syncretically, and an expressive colorful arrangement. An important role is played by the stroke, which simultaneously models the shape and organizes the movement on the canvas. One of the leading means of expression, regardless of genre and material, is lighting, both natural and artificial. In the artist's still lifes, the materiality, primarily of glass objects, comes to the fore. When choosing characters for portraits, she prefers the purity of female and children's images. Filled with positive emotions, the open, lively, sincere work of Anastasia Yaroshevich fully corresponds to the most popular phenomenon in art and design today, Modern Positive Art.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0377/1226/5354/files/1_c6d520cf-b0cc-426c-92f8-5d676c3a36d5.jpg?v=1759850084
https://noframegallery.com/products/oil-painting-once-upon-a-time-in-the-mountains-anastasia-yaroshevich
