From 1934 to 1938 he studied at the Odessa Art College, where his teachers were D. Krainev and A. Shovkunenko.\u003cbr\u003eLavrenty Semenovich was a participant in the Great Patriotic War and was awarded military awards.\u003cbr\u003eFrom 1938 to 1944 and from 1945 to 1949, Lavrenty Zharenko taught at the Odessa Art College.\u003cbr\u003eHe worked in the field of easel painting, mainly in watercolor.\u003cbr\u003eSince 1935, the artist has been participating in republican and all-Union exhibitions. He arranged his personal exhibitions in Odessa (1964), in Nikolaev (1965), and Kherson (1969). In 1973, the artist's works were exhibited at an exhibition in Marseille (France).\u003cbr\u003eThe artist's works are in art museums in R. and Ukraine, in private collections around the world.\u003cbr\u003eDied Zharenko L.S.
