He graduated in \u003cstrong data-start=\"1067\" data-end=\"1075\"\u003e1946\u003c\/strong\u003e. After WWII, he joined the Union of Artists of Ukraine and became a teacher. In \u003cstrong data-start=\"1156\" data-end=\"1164\"\u003e1957\u003c\/strong\u003e he was appointed professor at the Kyiv Art Institute. He participated in republican, all-Union, and international exhibitions since the late 1940s.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1316\" data-end=\"1752\"\u003ePuzyrkov earned the title \u003cstrong data-start=\"1342\" data-end=\"1381\"\u003ePeople’s Artist of the USSR in 1979\u003c\/strong\u003e. He won two Stalin Prizes (third class) in \u003cstrong data-start=\"1425\" data-end=\"1442\"\u003e1948 and 1950\u003c\/strong\u003e, and the Shevchenko State Prize of the Ukrainian SSR in \u003cstrong data-start=\"1499\" data-end=\"1507\"\u003e1976\u003c\/strong\u003e for works like \u003cem data-start=\"1523\" data-end=\"1535\"\u003e“Soldiers”\u003c\/em\u003e and \u003cem data-start=\"1540\" data-end=\"1558\"\u003e“In the Dugout.”\u003c\/em\u003e His works are held in the National Art Museum of Ukraine, the Dnipro Art Museum, and many other museums and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
