People's Artist of the USSR. Laureate of USSR State Prizes, Toktogul Prize and J. Nehru International Prize. Founder of modern Kyrgyz art. In the city of Verny (now Alma-Ata) he took painting lessons from the artist and teacher N.G. Khludov (1918-1920). In 1924-1930 he studied in M. Vhutemas (Higher art and technical workshops) in the workshop of R.R. Falk. Later he worked a lot as a teacher - including at the Institute of Proletarian Fine Arts (former Higher Artistic and Technical Institute, Vkhutein) in L. (1930-1932). He was one of the founders and chairman of the board of the Union of Artists of the Kyrgyz SSR (1933-1937, 1941-1943). The works are in collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, State R.
