Rendered in bold, impasto brushwork and a vibrant, expressive color palette, the work merges natural grandeur with human presence, celebrating a tranquil coexistence between earth and shelter. In the foreground, a winding path—rough and earthy with strokes of ochre, rose, mauve, and lavender—leads the eye gently toward a rustic village composed of small, wooden houses. Their roofs are depicted in sharp angular planes, tinged with light tones of beige, rose-pink, and dusty blue, suggesting the interplay of light and age. The structures feel rooted in tradition and resilience, humble yet dignified against the backdrop of the mountains. The artist’s decision to depict the houses with thick, intentional brushstrokes gives them a tactile quality, making the viewer almost feel the wooden planks and timeworn shingles. Shadows are not mere absence of light here; instead, they are expressed in purples, deep greens, and browns—vivid choices that maintain the composition’s chromatic vibrancy while hinting at time of day, perhaps late afternoon or early evening. To the left, trees burst in energetic dabs of emerald, mint, golden-green, and aquamarine. These forms suggest not only the foliage’s shape but also the movement of wind, rustling leaves, and sunlight filtering through branches. The flora is not static, but living and dynamic, breathing in the highland air. The background is dominated by a towering range of mountains that roll upward with rhythmic momentum. Composed of dramatic blues, violets, and muted earth tones, these peaks loom in protective silence over the small village. Their abstract treatment—bold segments of color without rigid line—offers a sense of emotional atmosphere rather than geological accuracy. They symbolize both strength and distance, permanence and dream.

*** ABOUT THIS PAINTING ***
* TITLE: "Mountains above the village"
* ARTISTS: Pereta Vyacheslav Nikolaevich
* SIZE: 40x60 cm/'15.74x23.62 inches'
* MEDIUM: oil, canvas
* HAND PAINTED: Original painting from our collection
* CONDITION: we tried to convey the maximum information with the help of photos about this product

About the artist: I, Pereta Vyacheslav Nikolaevich, was born on March 30, 1977 in the city of Dubno, Rivne region.
From early childhood I spent many hours drawing, which prompted my parents to enroll me in an art school.
Over the years, my passion grew into an internal need, and I began to think about the career of an artist.
