Dubrynichi of the Pecherinsky district in Transcarpathia in the family of a forester. In 1929, the family moved to Uzhgorod.\u003cbr\u003eThe first painting teachers of A. Kashshai while studying at the gymnasium in 1929-1939. were Joseph Bakshay and Adalbert Erdeli. Under the guidance of these famous masters, thanks to great talent and hard work, a unique and unique creative face of the young artist was formed. After graduating from high school, Anton planned to continue his education in Budapest or America. But the war violated his plans and he could return to creativity only in 1945.\u003cbr\u003eAfter the formation of the Transcarpathian regional organization of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR, A. Kashshay became the first director of the Uzhgorod creative and production workshops of the Art Fund of the USSR.\u003cbr\u003eThe first regional exhibition of the artist took place in 1947, and a few years later his work was exhibited in Kiev, M., Riga and other cities. In 1952, the painting by A. M. Kashshaya “Winter in the Carpathians” was acquired by the Tretyakov Gallery and entered the golden fund of creative heritage. Soon, the artist's works began to collect famous museums, galleries and collectors.\u003cbr\u003eIn 1961, A.M. Kashshaya was elected head of the Transcarpathian organization of the Union of Artists of Ukraine, which he headed for many years.\u003cbr\u003eDuring the 60-70s, the artist made creative trips to Italy, Japan, Norway, from where he brought a series of sketches and paintings written from nature.\u003cbr\u003eOver time, the artist’s pictorial style undergoes change. He begins to write easily, naturally, his paintings are saturated with light. But the love of landscapes depicting native Carpathians remains unchanged. The painter continues to create beautiful paintings until the end of his days.\u003cbr\u003eA.M. Kashshay died on December 30, 1991 in Uzhgorod.\u003cbr\u003eFor outstanding achievements in the development of the Transcarpathian school of painting, A.
