Volokidin and T. Fraerman. His first personal exhibition occurred while still a student, in his fourth year at the institute. From then on he regularly participated in personal, regional, and republican exhibitions.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1223\" data-end=\"1586\"\u003eShelyuto was a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR and was honored as an \u003cstrong data-start=\"1303\" data-end=\"1342\"\u003eHonored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR\u003c\/strong\u003e. He taught painting and drawing at the Odessa State Art School for many years (from 1937 to 1967). During World War II, he served in the Red Army, returning to Odessa in 1944.
