FAQs

What does “Sold – One-of-a-Kind Piece” mean?

It means the original painting has been sold and no reproductions are available. Each artwork is unique and only exists in a single copy.

What does “Author's Repetition Available” mean?

It means the original painting has been sold, but the artist can create a new original based on the same idea and composition.

An Author's Repetition is not a print or copy — it's a new, hand-painted artwork by the same artist, with minor differences that reflect the natural process of painting.

Volodymyr Gluhomanyuk
I was born in 1964, in Kyiv. I live and work in Ukraine. Architect-artist by profession. I graduated the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (KDHI 1988). As a certified architect, I practice in Ukraine, cooperating with international architectural companies. I work in the format of my own architectural bureau. As an artist, I practice traditional drawing techniques, the author's palette knife oil painting technique.

Passion for ships and boats has accompanied me since childhood and throughout my life. My artistic creativity is a picturesque story about unique ships, vessels, boats that are in the service of man. The presentation of my page includes many picturesque series, canvases of various genres and thematic orientation. Presented: romantic seascape, industrial landscape, historical reconstruction in thematic series: GOLDEN AGE, STEEL GIANTS, MUSEUM SHIPS, FISHING BOATS, LIGHTHOUSES, OCEAN LINERS AND FINE ARTS, GOLDEN AGE...

For me, ships and boats are living creatures, each with its own character. Therefore, some canvases can be identified as portraits of certain ships with their own history. They say that there is a lot of steel and masculine energy in my marine series. So, it's true! Dynamic design, contours of hulls, majestic superstructures of tankers, cruisers, steamships, sailboats, fishing boats - everything has aesthetically finished forms that have always inspired marine artists!

The incredible beauty of ships and the technique of oil painting with a palette knife, the spiritual and the material are combined into a single whole in my canvases, radiating the masculine energy of confidence and calm.

My marine oil painting is a tribute to sailors, ships, engineers, volunteers, and everyone who served and continues to serve in the navy.
